OUR BELIEFS
Bible
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God. We believe that the entire Scripture, Old and New Testaments, was written by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. His Holy Word is what we accept as an infallible guide in all matters of life and doctrine.
We believe that the Bible is the written and revealed Will of God. Man’s position to God, the way to obtain salvation, destruction awaiting sinners that refuse to repent, and everlasting joy that is kept for the born-again souls. (2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:21, John 17:17, Psalm 119:105, Revelation 22:18-21, Matthew 24:35, and 1 Thessalonians 2:13)
Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, the Savior of the world, who took away our sins. We believe that Jesus is God and was born by Mary the Virgin; He is God revealed in the flesh. Through Him, all things were created. (John 1:1-14, John 14:9, Matthew 1:18-25, and Isaiah 9:6.)
We believe in His death and resurrection, by which He brought redemption. (Isaiah 53:4-10, 1 Peter 2:24, John 10:11, Galatians 3:13, Matthew 20:28, 1 Corinthians 15:3, Romans 4:25, 2 Corinthians 5:14, Hebrews 2:9, and Hebrews 9:26)
Trinity
We believe in One God, eternally existent in three persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit being coequal. Triune God, One in Trinity. God the Father is the sender of the Word, the Son is the Word made flesh, who existed with the Father from the beginning, and the Holy Spirit proceeds forth from the Father and the Son, and they are coeternal. (John 1:1, 1 John 5:6-8, Philippians 2:6, John 16:28, John 15:26, and John 1:14)
Man, His Fall and Redemption
We are created in the image of God to fulfill His purpose. (Genesis 1:26) Man is made of three parts: body, soul, and spirit. (Genesis 2:7) We are His ambassadors on earth to take dominion over all other creatures and fulfill His mandate. (Genesis 1:26-28 and Genesis 2:15) But through Adam’s fall, sin came into the world. (Romans 5:12) Jesus Christ came into the world to redeem and restore us back to God. (Romans 3:10 and 23, Romans 5:14, 1 John 3:8, and Galatians 3:13)
Justification
Justification is God’s grace extended to all believers, cleansing us from our sins and enabling us to stand before God as though we have never sinned. Through Christ, the sinless offering, we can be reconciled to God. For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sins so that we could be made right with God through Christ. (2 Corinthians 5:21, Romans 4:25, Romans 5:1, 2 Corinthians 7:10, 1 John 5:12)
“This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!” (2 Corinthians 5:17, John 3:3, 5 Acts 13:39, Romans 3:25-26, 1 Corinthians 6:11, Galatians 3:24, John 1:12-13, 2 Corinthians 5:9, Titus 3:5, 1 Peter 1:23, Galatians 2:16, and Acts 10:43)
Water Baptism
Baptism in water by immersion, a direct commandment of our Lord Jesus Christ. Symbolizes believers’ identification with Christ, baptizing in the Name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19 and Romans 6:4) The New Testament reveals this teaching and all Christians must obey this rule of the Lord. (Acts 2:24, Acts 16:15, Acts 18:8, and Acts 19:4-5)
Every saved soul qualifies for water baptism. (Acts 8:29-39 and 16:18-23) Water baptism is an outward sign of genuine repentance from sin. (Acts 2:38 and Acts 22:6) Everyone baptized is joined with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection. (Romans 6:1-23, Colossians 2:12, and Galatians 6:14) Everyone baptized is dead to sin and made alive in Christ.
God
We believe that there is only one God, Who is the Creator of Heaven and Earth, and everything that dwells in it, both visible and invisible. “For I am God, and there is no other.” In God, we receive life, and He will be in existence forever. (Genesis 1:1, Psalm 86:9-10, John 5:26, Psalm 33, Isaiah 45:5 and 22, and John 1:1-3)
Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit is the third Person in the Trinity. He possesses the same divine power and glory as God the Father and God the Son. The Holy Spirit bestows empowerment, guidance, indwelling, infilling, correction, comfort, enlightenment, conviction, and leadership upon believers. John 14:16-17; John 15:26; Matthew 3:16; Ephesians 5:18. Acts 13:24. Romans 8:15.
The Holy Spirit is one with the Father and the Son, whom we are to worship and serve. Triune God, comprising three Persons in One, He is the source of blessings for all the living creatures in Heaven and on Earth. (Matthew 28:19, 2 Corinthians 13:14, and 1 John 1:5-7.)
The Holy Spirit imparts knowledge, teaches, speaks, and bears witness within us. (Acts 16:6-7). He performs the work of regeneration. (John 3:5-6) The Holy Spirit performs the work of sanctification in the born-again souls until they are fully sanctified. (John 16:8, Ephesians 1:17-19, 2 Thessalonians 2:13, and 1 Corinthians 6:11). The Holy Spirit endows with gifts. (1 Corinthians 12:7) The Holy Spirit empowers believers in the Lord. (Acts 1:8)
Devil
There is a devil, a deceiver, and a thief who has come to steal, kill, and destroy. He seeks the downfall of every man. He brought deceit, sickness, sin, and death into the world. Genesis 3:1-16. He seeks the destruction of those who exercise their faith in the Lord Jesus. Matthew 4:1-11; James 4:7; 1 Peter 5:8.
The devil has several unclean spirits over whom he control, Matthew 12:24. At judgment, he will be thrown into the pit and chained for one thousand years, Revelation 20:7-9. Thereafter, he will be put into the lake of fire, where he will remain suffering together with his followers forever, Revelation 20:10.
Repentance, New Birth, and Eternal Life
Repentance is the sorrow of a godly man for his sins with the decision to abstain from them. (Matthew 4:17, Matthew 3:2, and Acts 3:19; 20:21) “Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death.” (2 Corinthians 7:10; Mark 1:15; Isaiah 55:7; 2 Chronicles 7:14; and Ezekiel 18:21)
The first step toward salvation is godly sorrow through repentance. As a born-again/believer, being regenerated or reborn makes us a new birth in Christ. “This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun.” (2 Corinthians 5:17)
A new birth in Christ is necessary for all and, when experienced, produces eternal life. (2 Corinthians 7:10, 1 John 5:12, Acts 5:31, and Romans 10:9-10)“ Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you cannot see the Kingdom of God.” (John 3:3)
Sanctification (Holiness)
We hold the doctrine of sanctification in high esteem, recognizing it as a complete and progressive work of grace that commence at the moment of salvation and continue until the return of Christ. The divine Grace of God by which our souls are progressively and completely cleansed.
The accomplishment of this grace is achieved through our unwavering faith in the Blood of Jesus Christ. This faith is manifested after we have been justified, freed from our sins, and reborn or regenerated. (John 17:15-17; 1 Thessalonians 4:3; Hebrews 2:11, 12:14, and 13:12; 1 John 1:7; Luke 1:74-75; 1 Peter 1:16; Ephesians 5:25-27; 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24; 2 Thessalonians 2:13; and 2 Corinthians 7:1)
Baptism in the Holy Spirit
Holy Spirit Baptism is a divine empowerment, an enabling power of God. All believers/born-again souls should ask for the enabling power of the Holy Spirit. The promise of the Father, God’s gift to those who obey Him. (Luke 24:49, John 4:14-26, Acts 1:4-5, Acts 5:32, and Acts 8:14-17)
God’s promise to those who are far off and all whom the Lord will call. (Acts 2:38-39) A believer who receives the baptism of the Holy Spirit has evidence of speaking in tongues and demonstrating spiritual power. (Acts 2:4, Acts 10:34-36, and Acts 19:2-6)
Prayer
We firmly believe in the importance of fervent prayer. we ought to pray without ceasing. (1 Thessalonians 5:17). Without faith, our prayers will be ineffective. (James 1:6-8 and Hebrews 11:6). As a kingdom citizen/believer, prayer is the key. A Christian with a pure heart has the right to express gratitude to God, worship Him in adoration, and remain in constant prayer to the Lord. (Zechariah 12:10) My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. (Psalm 42:2)
The Holy Spirit help our infirmities in prayer. Help us in overcoming our weakness in prayer. (Romans 8:26). We must pray only by the Name of Jesus. (John 16:23 and 1 Timothy 2:25). Those who are unable to pray are unable to seek God. (Isaiah 42:22 and Isaiah 64:6-7). Much trouble and danger are encountered in the absence of prayer. (Zephaniah 1:4, Daniel 9:13-14, and Hosea 8:13-14.
We are commanded to pray and not faint. (Colossians 4:2, 1 Corinthians 7:5, and Luke 18:1) The Apostles prayed earnestly and dedicated much time to prayer. (Acts 6:4, Romans 6:4, Romans 1:9, and Colossians 1:9). God’s plan and order are for us to pray to receive all the blessings He has promised. (James 4:2, Daniel 9:3, Matthew 7:7-11, Matthew 9:24-29, and Luke 11:13. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. (James 5:16)
Prophecy
We believe in all the prophecies mentioned in the Bible. We hold the conviction that the Holy Spirit can bestow upon us the gift of prophecy. (1 Corinthians 14:29). Despise not prophesying. (1 Thessalonians 5:20). It is essential to reject any form of prophecy that contradict the teachings of the Bile. The Bible emphasizes the importance of abstaining from all appearances of evil. (1 Thessalonians 5:22) “But follow after righteousness, faith, love, purging ourselves from unclean things so that we may be vessels unto honor, sanctified, and prepared unto every good work.” (2 Timothy 2:21-22)
Furthermore, swearing, cursing, or blaspheming is forbidden. “Bless, and curse not.” (Romans 12:14) Swear not at all, neither by heaven, nor by the earth, or any other swearing. But let your yes be yes, and no be no so that you do not run into condemnation. (Matthew 5:34, James 5:12, 1 Peter 4:3-4, Proverbs 31:4-5, Revelations 1:5-6, and Genesis 19:30-38)
“When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, the results are very clear: sexual immorality, impurity, lustful pleasures, idolatry and witchcraft, hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy, drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.” (Galatians 5:19-21)
Divine Healing
We believe in the divine intervention power of God as the source of healing. The Bible emphasizes the biblical principles of healing without the use of medicine. (Matthew 4:23 and Psalm 103:3) We are commanded to go into the world and heal the sick. (Matthew 10:7-8 and Mark 16:15-18). Sickness is caused by the fall of man, and satan is the driving force behind it. (Job 2:1-9, Luke 13:15, and Acts 10:3) But Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil. (1 John 3:8)
Christ purchased our souls from the curse of sin. He bore our infirmities and carried our sorrows. (Matthew 8:15-17). Through His stripes, we receive healing. (Isaiah 53:4-5, Galatians 3:13, and 1 Peter 2:24). Healing without medicine is an integral part of the Gospel. (Matthew 9:35 and Mark 6:10-18) The twelve Apostles and the seventy disciples combined healing with their Ministry of the Gospel. (Luke 9:1-2 and Luke 10:1-9)
Individual prayer can also bring about healing . (John 14:13-14) Healing can occur when two or more individuals, united in faith, pray together. (Matthew 18:19-20). Laying hands on the head can also be a means of healing. (Mark 16:18, Acts 9:18, and Acts 28:8). The Ministry of the Elders, through anointing the sick with a prayer of faith, can also facilitate healing. (James 5:14-15).
By healing without medicine; we would have sanctified our lives to the doing of the Law. (Romans 6:13 and 19, Romans 12:1, Matthew 16:24, and 2 Corinthians 8:5-15). The Apostles performed many miracles. (Acts 9:33-42, Acts 19:11-12, and Acts 28:8-9). We are promised greater work through Christ. (John 14:12-14). We can do all things through Christ.
Sexuality
The Bible emphasizes that without holiness, no man can see the Lord. God’s plan for us is to live and walk in holiness in all aspects, particularly in what we do with our bodies. The only Scriptural option for human sexual conduct is a heterosexual union for married persons and committed celibacy for unmarried persons.
All alternative sexual activity outside of heterosexual marriage, such as homosexual or bisexual practices, fornication, adultery, incest, bestiality, polygamy, polyamory, pornography, and pedophilia, are sins. (Genesis 1:27, 2:24, 1 Thessalonians 4:3-8; Hebrews 13:4; 1 Corinthians 6:9-10; and Romans 1:18-32)
Resurrection
Jesus Christ will return as the King of kings and Lord of lords. At the resurrection, those who have died in Christ will rise first, followed by those who are alive in Christ to meet Him when he appears. Holy people whose names are found in the Lamb’s Book of Life will be with Him, but the sinners will resurrect in hell. (Revelation. 20:4-5; John 5:28-29; Revelation 20:12-15; Revelation 21:27; Acts 1:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 and Revelation 21:1-8)
Judgement
The Bible teaches about eternal punishment and eternal life. (Matthew 25:46). The wicked people will be sent to a fiery hell made of sulphur, to be tormented day and night. The punishment will continue forever and ever. (Revelation 14:10-11, Luke 16:24, and Mark 9:43-44). All individuals will appear before the judgment. According to the Bible, there will be three special judgments.
Firstly, the Judgment of the Believers involves people being caught up in the sky and standing before Christ. Subsequently, they will descend with Christ upon the earth. (2 Corinthians 5:10, James 1:12, and Romans 2:16)
Secondly, the Judgement of the World, when Jesus will appear upon the earth between the millennial reign and final judgment. (Acts 17:31, Joel 3:2, Jude 1:14-15, 2 Thessalonians 1:7-10, Romans 2:16, and Revelation 1:7)
Lastly, the Judgment of the Unbelievers, the White Throne Judgment, takes place after Christ’s one thousand years reign at the White Throne. (Revelation 20:11-15, 2 Peter 3:7, and Daniel 12:2) Anyone who dies in sin without accepting Christ are lost and has no chance to repent. They will be cast into the lake of fire forever. (Hebrews 9:27, Revelation 20:15, and Matthew 25:46)
Holy Matrimony
Marriage is a sacred union between a man and a woman. One husband and one wife, a male and a female, symbolizing the union of two souls into one. Any other form of sexual relationship is considered a sin and forbidden by God. The Bible teaches the importance of monogamy, stating that it has been the divine order since the inception of the Law of Christ
Marriage is honorable in all. A sacred institution that deserves honor and respect from all individuals. It is essential to maintain the purity of the marriage bed, for God will judge the adulterer and all sexual immorality. (Hebrews 13:4, Genesis 2:18–24, and Matthew 19:4-6)
Dedication
Dedication is essential for believers, as the Lord Our God is Holy. (John 17:19 and 1 Peter 1:15-16) As believers, we ought to dedicate ourselves unto God. (2 Corinthians 6:17-18) God called us unto holiness. (1 Thessalonians 4:7, Romans 12:1-2, Ephesians 5:4, Isaiah 50:7, and Hebrews 12:2) A dedicated Christian will be a hearer and doer of the Word of God. “Do not merely listen to the Word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. (James 1:22-25.)
Dedication of Children
We strongly encourage all parents to bring their newly born child to the house of God for a dedication to the Lord. A solid foundation is paramount for growth; let Jesus be their bedrock. (Proverbs 22:6, 1 Samuel 1:22, and Matthew 19:13-15)
Holy Communion
Communion is a symbol of remembrance of our Lord Jesus Christ, His body and blood of the covenant. It is instituted by our Lord Jesus Christ before His death. He commanded all believers to gather together regularly to share the bread and wine until He returned as a symbol of His broken body and sheared blood on the Cross. (Luke 22:17-20; Matthew 26:26-29; Mark 14:22-25; 1 Corinthians 10:18–21; Acts 2:42, 20:7; and 1 Corinthians 11:23-30)
Church of God
The body of Christ is Church of God, comprising of kingdom citizens, born-again/believers, royal priesthood, holy nation, chosen generation, and peculiar people. All people that God has called to gather together in a place to worship, fellowship, feed and share the Word of God in truth and in the Spirit, as one body of Christ and Christ as the head of the Church to spread the gospel of the Kingdom of God to all Nations. (Ephesians 1:22; Colossians 1:1-18; Ephesians 3:10; 5:24-29; 1 Corinthians 1:2; Acts 14:23; Philippians 4:15; Acts 13:28; 1 Peter 2:9; Acts 2:41-47; Matthew 16:18; and Matthew 28:19)
New Heaven and New Earth
The Word of God emphasizes that after judgement, this wicked world will be eradicated. There will be no more pain, no more sorrow. God will create a New Heaven and a New Earth, The eternal Kingdom of God without end where holiness will exist. (Matthew 24:35; 2 Peter 3:12-13; Isaiah 65:17, 66:22; Revelation 21:1-3, Matthew 24:14, and Revelation 22:20-21)
